Lyrica School of Dance was founded in November 1998 by Catherine Maher ( Hanlon ).

Together with her sister, Rebecca, they have taken the school from strength to strength.

The school teaches many variations of dance to girls and boys from the age of 2 upwards

including

Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Acro and Ballet.

The dance school prides itself on offering classes at an affordable rate so that children from all backgrounds can enjoy the pleasure and health benefits of dance.

Lyrica is proud of its dancers and proud of its name.

we therefore like to show both off as often as possible.

That is why each year we hold and attend numerous events for our students and parents alike.

These include 2 dance festivals (May and Sept), Presentation night, School dance show to show off our Talents and have even included dance classes at the world renowned Pineapple dance Sudios in Covent Garden where our students were taught by world class choreographers.

Unbelievably we are already half way through the 2018 calendar but there is still a lot left for this year to bring, Including September festivals, the Lyrica Halloween party*, and the annual class Christmas parties.

MAY

So far this year we have won a host of awards at the Mercia dance festival including

* Senior Acro Troupe - Game of Thrones

*Highest mark of the Festival - Game of Thrones

*Best Choreography - Game of Thrones

*Junior Cabaret Troupe - Jolly Holiday

and an array of Individual awards and medals across the age ranges.

JUNE

June saw us Jump straight into the Lyrica presentation night where the students and parents could let their hair down, dance the night away and congratulate each other on their achievements.

There were many Trophies given out on the night and the Coveted

'Pupil of the Year'

went to one of our younger students - Seren Cox

Also this June we have welcomed the awesome

Layton Williams

to Team Lyrica for two amazing masterclasses, all the students had an amazing time.
